Imagine waking up suddenly, having no idea where (and who!) you are, but immediately fearing for your life. Such a scenario is offered by the dark futuristic thriller "Cryo - The Nightmare Begins with the Awakening." Here is the trailer:
Already in the embedded trailer above, it is apparent that "Cryo - The Nightmare Begins with the Awakening" is a relatively low
-budget indie film. Accordingly, there are no big stars to be seen. But that doesn't necessarily have to be bad news as long as the story idea has been well thought out and executed in an exciting way. You can soon find out if these requirements are met in your home cinema. "Cryo - The Nightmare Begins with the Awakening" will be released in Germany on July 7, 2023, on Blu-ray and DVD. Both formats, with a minimum age restriction of 16, can already be pre-ordered from online retailers such as Amazon. If you don't want to wait that long, you can already digitally purchase the film and stream it immediately: "Cryo - The Nightmare Begins with the Awakening" on Amazon* The direction and screenplay of "Cryo" are by Barrett Burgin, who presents his feature-length debut after several award-winning short films, some of which have been shown at festivals. The most well-known names in Burgin's cast include Emily Marie Palmer and Michael Flynn. Palmer has already appeared twice alongside Nicolas Cage ("USS Indianapolis," "Grand Isle") and has also had guest roles in hit TV series such as "MacGyver," "NCIS," and "Cobra Kai." Flynn, on the other hand, you may recognize from the Steven Seagal action film "Code Of Honor" or the Nazi horror movie "S
tay Out Of The F**king Attic." "Cryo" in Home Cinema: This is the Story In a dark facility that they believe to be an underground bunker, five people wake up from cryogenic sleep. None of them have any idea how long they have been in their cryo chambers. There is no one there to tell them or provide medical care. The quintet can't even remember their own names anymore. Slowly but surely, the confused individuals discover that they must have been part of an experiment and performed various functions within it. It appears that among them are a doctor (Emily Marie Palmer), a psychologist (Jyllian Petrie), a biochemist (Morgan Gunter), an engineer (Curt Doussett), and a soldier (Mason D. Davis).
Furthermore, the engineer vaguely remembers a sixth person, an inventor (Michael Flynn), who is not among them. It is also immensely disturbing that they are trapped behind a sealed airlock. What awaits them if they can escape their prison?
